From Timber to Tiller
The making of a Tycoon Bow
Four stages, four hundred hours of attention. Nothing leaves the workshop until it has passed the hands of at least two master bowyers.
01
Timber selection
Every bow begins in our aging shed, where osage orange and yew rest for five years before the first cut is made.

Hand shaping
Each riser is shaped over 120 hours with drawknife and spokeshave. No two bows share a grain, and we intend to keep it that way.

Tillering
We flex, shave, and re-flex until the limbs store and release energy with surgical consistency — the stage most makers rush.

Finish & fit
Veg-tan leather grip, hand-rubbed oil finish, and a final fitting tuned to your exact draw length before the bow is signed.

We use carbon where it genuinely outperforms wood — and wood where it will outlast carbon. Every material in a Tycoon Bow has earned its place over decades of field and podium.
